It's about making money!

Yep - let's at least be totally honest with each other. We're not spending hours, days, weeks staring into that  computer screen just for the hell of it.

We want something back... MONEY !!

We know that some people online are becoming "Dot Com Millionaires". So, not surprisingly, there is an urge to ditch the "9-to-5" job and join the online money-making revolution!

Unfortunately, it isn't as simple as connecting your modem and watching the dollar bills float through your mailbox! The fact you're here in The Bull Free Zone tells me that you've probably already learned that lesson - almost certainly the hard way!

I guess, like me, you get a brand new promise of instant wealth every few hours in your e-mail box (I get about 500 a day - no kidding). That's what comes of taking part in safelists and "free" ezine ads. Fortunately I have Spam Arrest so most of the regular stuff that I've already seen a million times gets dumped automatically.

Again, if you're anything like me, you've probably tried a few "money-for-old-rope" schemes and been left with nothing but a hole in your pocket, and a promise never to fall for it again - until next time!

Don't worry - we've ALL been there (we're all wearing the damn T-shirts, too!)

So it's time that we armed ourselves with as much knowledge as possible.

Time to Bury the Bull and tell the truth.

This is going to involve you dumping a ton of the 'white noise' that is currently running through your email inbox. Start hitting the unsubscribe button for the programmes that you hardly ever open but remain a member of, 'just in case'.

Do you know what? Just that one action will save you a ton of time in Your Business!

Pencil and Paper time....

Write down all the affiliate programmes you are registered in.

Write down all the websites that you have.

Write down all the programmes that you promote.

Now then... The tough one... If you aren't making any Money from an affiliate programme or a website cross them off your list.

You should be left with profit makers. No! Then cross it off your list

This exercise is to help you DE-CLUTTER Your Business. After all, you've joined The Bull Free Zone to get some guidance... It starts in this step.

As you work your way through the steps you will be able to give them your full attention rather that jumping off to see 'such and such' a programme.

You should now be of the mind-set that this is Your Business!

I'M GOING TO TELL YOU THE BIGGEST SINGLE REASON FOR FAILURE ON THE INTERNET...HERD MENTALITY

It is VITAL that you understand Herd Mentality, not just to protect yourself against it, but to make use of it in your own Marketing efforts.

Herd Mentality is the easy-to-understand term for Mass Psychology. Mass psychology is a subject you must get a basic grasp of, to make sure you understand what is going on around you.

How is it that normally sensible people can get drawn into some of the most ridiculous propositions imaginable?

The answer lies buried in our self-survival system. It's a deep-rooted desire not to get left out. As humans, we share many common traits. No matter what nationality, color or creed, the fear of loss almost always outweighs common sense.

It's a key principle of your Online Health Check to understand these triggers so you can use them effectively in your own marketing.

The first nine words on many, many promotions are "DON'T GET LEFT BEHIND!" - "YES! You, Too, Can Discover..."

Notice the triggers... "get left behind" and "you, too"

Already the reader is beginning to suffer a sense of loss! What is it that other people already have or know, that he/she doesn't?

Those triggers are set in the very first sentence!

Also, by understanding these Herd Mentality triggers, you can build a shield with which to protect yourself when faced with someone using the same technique on you.

Start today...

Mentally dissect all the adverts you come across. Ask yourself the simple question, "Are these claims realistic?"

Forget the schemes that have no product (of value). "Get ten more people to sell our crap report, and we'll give you an extra crap report", does NOT qualify as a product! You should look for serious, quantifiable, product.

Forget the claims of how many other people have already joined this scheme. They're probably not true anyway.

Forget the insistence on how you should do it before the price goes up. It's a lie.

Forget the statistics. Remember what Benjamin Disraeli, the British Prime Minister is quoted (by Mark Twain) as saying... "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics."

Just take the simple concept... Does This Make Sense?

When you ask yourself that simple question, and it doesn't make sense, or the figures don't add up. WALK AWAY

THE ULTIMATE IRONY OF HERD MENTALITY IS THAT IT SPREADS THE MALADY OF "MASS DECEPTION".

What do I mean by that?

'A' invents product 'x' and tells 'B' that it is a sure-fire winner.
'B' promotes it as an affiliate and tells 'C' how it's a world-beater.
'C' tells 'D' how it has saved his sanity.
'D' tells 'E' that he might as well give up Internet Marketing if he isn't selling product 'x'

And so the deception goes on!

The dangers of Herd Mentality will always be there. It's human nature.

As a prospective Internet Mega-Star, it's your job to:
USE IT in your promotions and IGNORE IT in assessing other people's products.

You should have deleted all the nonsense from your email inbox.
