Internet Marketing

Step 1 - Passion

Passion Versus Knowledge

Let me come clean with you and tell you an ABSOLUTE truth... If you aren't passionate about your subject it will invariably reflect in your sales copy, your literature, but, more importantly your commitment.

Before you commit to any project to do with Information Marketing or Software Marketing, please make sure that it is something that you really want to do.

This part of our website is called The Bull Free Zone. It's called that for a reason.

If you feel that you are without any passion for anything in the whole wide world, then the best advice available right now is for you to go grab a seat near the telly and sit and cry about not getting a break in this life, or, go and live in a cave in the hills somewhere.

For the passionate die-hards.....Let's get ready to rumble.

I deliberately used the words
Information Marketing.

From here on in you are making
information available to other people.

Far too many people hear that the Internet is a booming place where fortunes are being made in the most ridiculous niche markets.

They are......But only by those marketers who have a passion about their given 'niche', and continually show an enthusiastic approach to every aspect of their marketing endeavours.

So .... Let's see what are you passionate about... Here's a little mind activator...

 Tropical Fish

 Sewing

 Paintball

 Roses

Property

 Camping

 Heart

 Road Racing

 Fly Fishing

 American Footaball

 Vegetables

 Quilting

 Yachting

 Modelling

 Cycling

 Canoeing

 Soccer

 Cruising

 Bowling

 RV's

 Music

Getting the hang of it?

Absolutely everyone has a passion about something.

Take your time. Have a few cups of coffee. Listen to some soft music and it will suddenly come to you. Please don't make the mistake of thinking that no one else will be interested in your particular passion. To find out...Put your 'passion' into your Google search box and see what the world thinks.

Example:......
If your passion is 'paintings by Van Gogh', a Google search for the same search term reveals 2,350,000 results for paintings by van Gogh

You're never alone... There is always someone else with the same passion as you.

But now you must consider Your Knowledge Level

Remember we mentioned that an 'expert' is someone who knows one more piece of information than we do?

Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about fashion design, to me you are an expert
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about 18th century artists, to me you are an expert
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about vehicle maintenance, to me you are an expert.
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about tropical fish, to me you are an expert.
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about computer hardware, to me you are an expert.
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about vintage wine, to me you are an expert
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about plumbing, to me you are an expert
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about growing flowers, to me you are an expert
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about hairdressing, to me you are an expert
Information MarketingIf you know ANYTHING about the anatomy of eggs, to me you are an expert

Am I making my point?
On the other hand...

Information MarketingIf you would like to know about construction in UK, you can refer to me.
Information MarketingIf you would like to know about scallop dredging, you can refer to me.
Information MarketingIf you would like to know about Internet Marketing, you can refer to me.
Information MarketingIf you would like to know about Crown Green Bowls, you can refer to me.
Information MarketingIf you would like to know about the train times from Douglas to Port St Mary, you can refer to me (because I happen to have a timetable in front of me!).

You see what I'm saying?

In some areas, I am YOUR expert.
In many areas, YOU are MY expert.

Moral.
Everything has a Perceived Value

Don't for one minute think that what you already know does not have a value to someone else.

OK. So far I have helped you to find your passion and ascertain what your knowledge level is.

If you think that perhaps your knowledge level is not all that it should be then you will probably feel more comfortable doing some more research and expanding your knowledge base.

Quite simply, the easiest place to obtain more information is via Google.

Find out everything that you can about your given subject.

Look at all of your competitors and see how they are approaching the subject.
Never Fear Competition
Competition in a market place shows you that there is a healthy market place to begin with.

Alarm bells should sound when you locate somewhere that has NO Competition.

It has NO Competition because there is NO MARKET.

With this step completed we have found out what you are passionate about.

Now we have to find out what your knowledge level is and increase it if possible.

So why not Click Here to move to the next article, which will cover Researching Your Passion

Testimonial

"Ken, Thanks for the helping hand. I like your weird sense of humour and love the way that you are prepared to give all of this information away.

I am now actually focusing on what I am supposed to be doing.

Thank you again,

Elaine. Market Rasen, UK
