TRAFFIC GENERATION

Let’s Talk About Traffic Generation

Traffic is the lifeblood of the Internet.

We can argue about quality and conversion rates forever, but at the end of the day, a human visitor is a human visitor.

From an internet marketer’s point of view, there are two categories of traffic – traffic that you pay for and traffic that you generate through one means or another.

There is no such thing as “free traffic.” Everything has a cost, whether that cost is measured in time or whether it is measured in dollars. It all costs. I’m not going to get into a lengthy discussion about how much your time is worth.

That’s up to you to decide.

What I can do is point you in the direction of where to get “targeted” traffic, how much it costs and what you can expect from it. Let’s get a couple of things straight right now. I will not be discussing SEO, Google PPC or social media advertising. In this market, the competition is too fierce to spend any time on SEO. Sure, there are models on the Warrior Forum and Clickbank that tell you to target long tail keywords. Good luck with that. Social media right now is a hornet’s nest that I prefer to keep away from and Google ads are a great way to burn $50 notes.

So what’s left?

Plenty. There are variations of what I’m about to discuss, but the concepts and principles remain the same.

Whatever traffic medium you choose, your primary goal should be to create enough interest for the visitor to want to know more. The first point of contact for your visitor should be a squeeze page, or in some instances, a splash page.

From there, you can start to build a relationship with your new subscriber.

Don’t over-think this.

Create Interest via a squeeze page.

Invite the website visitor to ask for more information.

Provide more information via autoresponder.

Follow up with related content.

That’s the formula. It’s been the formula for as long as people have tried to sell stuff on the Internet.

Now’s the part where you usually read that you need hosting and an autoresponder plus some squeeze page creation software.

Guess what? You don't initially need any of that stuff. You can build the system outlined using quality tools provided for free by a company that’s been quietly going about it’s business for ten years.

That company is called Leads Leap and you will find that their services are discussed frequently on these pages.

So, now that I’ve broadly outlined a strategy, let’s look at my traffic portfolio. To be honest, it doesn’t; look much, but it’s kind of like peeling an onion, it has many layers.

Here it is
